Paul Gibbons
Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. He spent three years post-qualification in the Middle East, in addition to time with their Transaction Services team in London. He has extensive finance experience in the FMCG, Retail, Telecoms, Pet, and Pharmacy sectors. Paul has both buy side and sell side experience, experience which is invaluable in helping companies prepare for exit.
He has provided his financial experience to companies like First Quench (the owner of Victoria Wine and Threshers), Alliance Pharmacy, Boots Pharmacy and Interpet (the UK arm of an American company with market leading brands in the pet, aquatic and pet publishing markets).
Prior to working at Entrepreneurs Hub Paul was Finance Director in the Telecommunications and IT services sector, where Arrow Business Communications Limited undertook 14 acquisitions in 8 years and completed two successful exits to private equity investors.
As a result, he has practical experience in the evaluation of potential acquisitions, preparing internal due diligence and commissioning external advisors, risk management during the acquisition process, managing internal and external deal approval, management of HR and cultural issues arising and ownership of the post-acquisition integration of acquired businesses.
On the sell side, his experience is invaluable in helping companies prepare themselves for exit and to negotiate the hurdles through to a successful sale.
